I SHIP IT

Ikea is well known for having some of the most complicated furniture to make. They want to use this well recognized and comedic knowledge, and put a twist on it, creating a challenging timed game for couples to experience.

The challenge was to help develop a campaign to show building relationships is just as easy as building IKEA furniture.

By using the quick-witted term “i ship it” (to "ship" a couple means to have an affinity for it in one way or another), Ikea creates a game to help everyone understand that there is fun behind building furniture with a new significant other- especially when it’s challenging.

The campaign identity uses bold colors, quirky gameplay, and fun animations (using their Ikea man), that bring unexpected moments of excitement from furniture building.
